The Sussex County Fairgrounds

Attended here for both the summer carnival and today at the Sussex Christian School Fall Festival. The grounds cover an immense amount of space and the two events were well-organized and coordinated. Today, there were a fair amount of vendors in the Richard's Building and outside, as well as, a nice set-up for kids to play games, have face painting and win prizes. As with any carnival, it was extremely packed and tough two get around with the kids, but today's festival was not overly crowded. It was a nice balance. I will definitely be back and look forward to future events.

If we could give the Sussex County Conservatory 100 stars we would! Not only is the ceremony space breathtaking but the reception hall takes the cake, with its grand vaulted ceilings and classical architecture it will really wow your guests! The conservatory's staff always ensures flawless execution and provides top-notch service. It is always an absolute joy to work at such a breathtaking wedding venue and we can not wait for our next wedding there! If you are a bride looking for a venue that is one of a kind - look no further!

Wonderful wedding venue, and great staff. I was here for my cousin's wedding and it was a great atmosphere. The overall hospitality was fantastic considering it was a lot of rain every weekend in the fall of 2023, they were able to accommodate pretty well and got it up and running fast indoors. Love to come back here just to check out the fair in the summertime.

NJ State Fair + Farm / Horse Show Very impressive layout, parking was free and admission only $15 for adults. There was a ton of food here. Everything from giant turkey legs to waffles or pickles on a stick. They had the traditional items like burgers and hotdogs, also, there was brisket with macaroni and cheese. I saw a blooming onion truck, cannolis, lots of ice cream and lemonade trucks. They had a mini circus tent with entertainment, and a venue with local singers. The event that stole the show was the pig races, totally hysterical to watch and see the crowd cheering. Also, they had a fairly large farm area. There were poultry such as roosters, turkeys, and geese. Some of the stars in the other barns were the Clydesdale horse, Alpacas, black nose sheep, goats, and the large sleeping pigs.

My experience as a wedding photographer at The Conservatory was nothing short of remarkable. We chose this venue because it was beautiful and unique! We loved the natural wood, rustic chandeliers, and open feel due to all the glass. The patio is also stunning. We loved the flexibility the venue offered in terms of ceremony sites (outside on the patio in front of the gazebo or zen garden or inside the farm building or conservatory). It's a very nice indoor/outdoor venue. It also has a nice size parking lot for driving guests and no confusion because they only host one event per day! Guests were able to enjoy the fire pit, gazebo, farm building, and other locations throughout the night. If you are getting married in the summer, the AC works GREAT! The staff was very professional and responsive to emails. We made our centerpieces and did a lot of the decor ourselves, so we were able to drop off a few car loads of stuff a few days before. I love that you have a lot of options for photographs... we went for more of a garden theme, but you could also go for more of a super rustic barn theme! Our guests absolutely loved the formal, yet casual vibe of the venue!

I was a the wedding photographer at Sussex County last March and I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue! The staff checked in with me as soon as I arrived to make sure I had everything I needed. They offered some recommended family portrait locations and asked my advice about what worked best for me to get the best angle for a sparkler send off. Thanks for making the day a success and I can't wait to work there again!
